This Microsoft Office MULTIPLE WORKSHEETS exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to assess their suitability for the Wise Owl ADVANCED EXCEL course only, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.
A full answer to this exercise is provided as part of the training course!
| 1) | Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-168.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it). |
| 2) | Select and delete the second and third sheets: |
Use the SHIFT or CTRL keys to select both sheets
| 3) | Copy and rename sheets to get one worksheet for each day of the week, plus a Total sheet: |
You should end up with 6 worksheets
| 4) | For each of the 5 days, type in how many hours you spend on each activity (you can invent these figures if you like!). |
| 5) | Select the days from Monday to Friday, and enter and copy down a formula calculating the total calories expended for each activity for the Mon worksheet - because you are in group mode, this should enter formulae on all the selected worksheets: |
Select these 5 sheets simultaneously, using the SHIFT key
| 6) | Go to the Total sheet, and create a formula which sums the hours and calories expended columns across the worksheets Mon-Fri: |
Create the shaded figures
| 7) | Now save this file as Weekly Exercises, and close it down. |
Thank you for showing an interest in this Advanced Excel training course! As mentioned above, full answers to this and other exercises are provided on the course. On all Wise Owl scheduled courses delegates can take away these model answers (together with their own efforts!) on a free USB stick.
