This Microsoft Office 2007 SELECTING CELLS exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to assess their suitability for the Wise Owl EXCEL 2007 VISUAL BASIC course only, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Exercise: Bob the Builder - selecting to end

1) Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-901.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it).
2) Create a macro in the above workbook called SelectLastTaskCost:
Exercise screen-shot 1993 Your macro will select the top left yellow cell, then move to the bottom right one - see instructions below
3) Write lines in this macro to:
  • Select the top of the list (cell C7) absolutely
  • From this cell, move down to the bottom of the block regardless of how many tasks there are
  • From this cell, go right to the last column in the block (again regardless of how many columns there are)
4) When you run your macro, it should leave the bottom left cell (E17) shown above selected. 
5) Save your workbook as BB last task.xlsm, then close it down.
