Exercise: Revision of basic formuae and totals - chocolate consumption

1) Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-611.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it).
2) Type in the titles and figures in the cells as shown in the example below:

3) Create a formula in cell D3 that calculates the cost of flakes eaten using the information below to help you:
  • Flake Total  =  Quantity  *  Price Each
4) Copy the formula down the rest of the column to calculate the cost of all the other chocolates.
5) Create a Formula in cell E3 that calculates the Vat Total for the flakes using the information below to help you:
  • Flake Vat Total  =  Total  *  17.5%
6) Copy the formula down the rest of the column to calculate the Vat Total of all the other chocolates.
7) Create a Formula in cell F3 that calculates the Final cost for the flakes using the information below to help you:
  • Flake Final  =  Total  +  Vat Total
8) Copy the formula down the rest of the column to calculate the Final cost of all the other chocolates.
9) Create a Formula in cell B7 that calculates the Total Quantity Consumed.
Training exercise hint Remember you can use the Autosum tool to do this.
10) Copy the total formula across row 7 to calculate all the other column totals.
11) Re-save the file with the same name.
