Exercise: Plumbers - basic formulae

| 1) | Imagine that you have received various estimates from plumbers, and you want to compare them. First type in the information shown below: |

| 2) | Create a formula giving the total costs for the first company (Bodgit & Co.). These will be the sum of material and labour costs: |
This is the answer you should get

| 3) | Now copy this formula down to give the total figures for all of the companies. |
| 4) | Use the function wizard to create formulae giving the highest and lowest cost estimate: |
The functions you need are MAX and MIN
