Exercise: Owner Report With an Expresssion

A full answer to this exercise is provided as part of the training course!

1) Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-356.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it).
2) Create a report based on the Owner table using the AutoReport: Tabular wizard and modify the design so that it resembles the example below:
Exercise screen-shot 541 See the hint below.
3) Save the report with the name All Owners.
Training exercise hint Since the Celebrity? field is a Yes/No field, the default control is always a checkbox.  In the example above we have deleted the checkbox and replaced it with a text box and entered an expression (just like in a query).  The expression is =IIF([Celebrity?],"Celeb","Pleb") which reads as: "If the Celebrity? field contains a 'Yes', then put 'Celeb' in the box, otherwise put 'Pleb' in the box".

Thank you for showing an interest in this Basic Querying in Access training course! As mentioned above, full answers to this and other exercises are provided on the course. On all Wise Owl scheduled courses delegates can take away these model answers (together with their own efforts!) on a free USB stick.
