This Microsoft Access CREATING FORMS exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to assess their suitability for the Wise Owl BASIC QUERYING IN ACCESS course only, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Exercise: Customised Pet Form

A full answer to this exercise is provided as part of the training course!

1) Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-354.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it).
2) Create a new query based on the Pet and PetType tables and add the following fields:
  • From the Pet table: PetName, Gender, PetDOB, Email, SpecialRequirements, VetBills
  • From the PetType table: PetType, Limbs, Picture
3) Save the query with the name PetDetails.
4) Create a new form based on your query using the AutoForm Columnar wizard.  Modify the form so that is resembles the form below:

5) Save the form with the name Pet Details and close it.
