Exercise: Criteria - films

A full answer to this exercise is provided as part of the training course!

1) Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-709.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it).
2) Open the database in the above folder.
3) Create a query showing all of the films which took more than $400,000,000 in 1998, and save this as HighGrossing1998.  Your datasheet should look like this:
Exercise screen-shot 1453 For the BoxOffice criteria, type in >400000000
4) Create another query showing all of the films released in the 1960s, and save this as SixtiesFilms.
Training exercise hint Another way of saying this is to ask for all the films released on or after 1960 and before or during 1969.
5) Your answer should look like this:
Exercise screen-shot 1454 The effects of inflation mean that most films are recent ones
6) Close down both queries and your database.

Thank you for showing an interest in this Access Introduction for Developers training course! As mentioned above, full answers to this and other exercises are provided on the course. On all Wise Owl scheduled courses delegates can take away these model answers (together with their own efforts!) on a free USB stick.
