IT Trainer (Trainee)

We are now looking to take on another trainee trainer (if you see what we mean...) to deliver Microsoft training courses to groups of between 1 and 8 people across the UK. The job will involve a fair amount of travel - a typical week might involve:

• 1-2 days in our office in Glossop
• 1-2 days training at our training centre in Manchester
• 2-3 days training at premises in Manchester, London, Birmingham or elsewhere

(These figures add up only if you allow for rounding errors!).

We aren't looking for software experts (although you will become one very quickly) - just a good aptitude for computing and maths, a desire to teach and a willingness to learn. We tend to teach more advanced courses than the average training company, but all teaching is about being interesting, entertaining and well-prepared.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, perhaps have a background in teaching or drama, have a good sense of humour and loads of self-confidence! We don't want someone who has been training for many years (although we would consider applications from current trainers who have been in the job for less than 5 years).

You would spend 3-6 months training - learning the applications, observing courses, etc. - gradually giving more courses during this period. You would receive a starting salary during this period of about �20-24k per annum. This starting salary would be reviewed after the initial training period and then at regular intervals. Typically our trainers can expect to be earning about �30,000 after 2-3 years with the company.

We offer 25 days paid holiday per year, 2/3 days of which must be taken between Christmas and New Year. There are some restrictions on when other days can be taken. We also offer free home broadband access, a high-specification laptop for business and personal use while you work with Wise Owl and free fruit in the office!
