Visual C# 2010 | C# 4.0

Visual C# 2010 (also known as C# 4.0 by Wikipedia, among others) is the latest version of Microsoft's C# programming language.  You can see a list of the new features in Visual C# 2010, which are mainly:

  • The ability to use named and optional arguments
  • A call hierarchy window

For other differences in C# 4.0, see what's new in Visual Studio 2010 and what's new in ASP.NET 4.0.

Note that our scheduled Visual C# training courses use Visual C# 2005 as their programming language (we have to use something!).  We don't think it matters much which version of C# you're using for training, but if you do want training on your exact version of Visual C# you may need to consider organising onsite C# training.
