You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our blogs. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

Using the Skills Assessment Site with Internet Explorer

Some people are experiencing problems using the Skills Assessment site with later editions of Internet Explorer (IE 10 and IE 11).

A longer-term fix is being implemented - for the moment, the simplest solution is to use another browser.

Here's what the problem is:

Problem clicking

When you click on a link, nothing happens!

The solution to this problem is to enable compatibility mode if you're using Internet Explorer (or to use another browser, like Firefox, Chrome or Safari).

Here's how to enable compatibility mode in Internet Explorer 11 (IE11).  Choose this menu option:

Compatibility view menu

Choose this option from the Tools menu.

Click on Add to show this site in compatibility view:

Adding to compatibility view

Add this site to the list of those you want to see using compatibility view.

From this point on this site will work perfectly on your computer.
