You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our blogs. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

Percent-of-Total Labels in Pie and Donut Charts

You can now display labels for pie chart and donut chart values as a percentage of the total value:

Here we've got the full Monty displayed: so the South East sales figures are 19,000, which is 24.87% of the total.

To show labels like this, you can change the Detail Label section of the formatting well:

You can specify just the category name, just the data value or just the percentage of total, any combination of two out of these three, or (as here) all three of them.

 

For the chart on this page, I chose All detail labels.
