Amarjot Ragbotra

Amarjot has an honours degree in Computing from Manchester Metropolitan University. Her pastimes outside work include shopping, making and decorating celebration cakes and reluctantly attending music festivals. Amarjot was also responsible for the modern art which decorates the Wise Owl head office ...

 

Andrew Gould

Andrew has a first-class degree in Biology, trained as a teacher, and studied for a PhD on the evolution of East African cichlid fish. He is thus one of the few people in the world who is an expert on both Lake Malawi cichlid fish and Visual Basic for Applications! Andrew has recently bought a house for the first time, and is spending much of his free time "enjoying" making it habitable.

 

Andy Brown

Andy isn't quite the oldest owl, he wants to make clear, but his Economics and Statistics degree from UCL in London was a while ago. He now splits his work time between writing web sites using ASP.NET and delivering training courses, and his non-work time between ferrying children around and playing football in a 6-a-side league (hence the picture).

 

David Wakefield

Dave has an honours degree in Physics from King's College London. He now splits his time between writing database systems and web sites for clients and for internal use, and delivering advanced training courses in Access, VB and ASP.NET. Dave has a large collection of antique scientific instruments, but reserves his main passion for gliding, at which he is an instructor.

 

Gwen Carvill

Gwen splits her working life between efficiently helping Sandi to run the administration of Wise Owl and teaching yoga. She is devoted to her two dogs (one of them sent Sandi's dog Vinny a Christmas card last year), and also likes going to music concerts (although with a partner in the business, she hasn't got much choice!).

 

Jane Swindlehurst

Jane used to swim competitively, and still likes to visit the gym to keep fit. She is also a dab hand at helping friends organise weddings! Jane has a degree in Design Management from De Montfort University in Leicester, and used to work as a trainer at Littewoods and GUS.

 

Ric Brown

Ric is a devoted cyclist (and an awesomely fast one). He has a 2:1 degree in Geography from the University of Salford, and past jobs include teaching English in Spain, programming in Lytham St. Annes and being an IT Manager in London. Ric recently married Lisa, who was mainly attracted by his extensive collection of heavy metal T shirts.

 

Rick Gould

Rick is the newest Wise Owl trainer, although he has an impeccable pedigree: a PGCE, two years' teaching experience and a 2.1 (Hons) from Newcastle. In his spare time Rick enjoys writing, playing the guitar and helping do up his new house. For anyone wondering, Rick and Andrew ARE related!

 

Sandi Hepworth

Sandi is the person you are most likely to speak to at Wise Owl - with Gwen she ably deals with sales enquiries and organises courses. Sandi divides her time between shopping with her daughter and patching up her son after his skateboarding injuries. She is one of 6 owls who lives in the Glossop area, although the only one who makes sandwiches for the local cricket team.

 

Tim Harrison

Tim has a Law degree from Durham University, and previously worked as a solicitor. His interests include drama (you may have seen him as Barnum in the eponymous musical in Stockport) and attending Dr. Who conventions, although he is also one of Kylie's biggest fans!
